Marketing The Business of Oral Health

If you run an oral health business you need to get it online. But how do you get people to notice your business. Well, it’s a proven fact that people search for health care tips and info online, if they didn’t there would be no need for websites like WebMD.

What you want is to get your topics to pop up on the first page of the Google search bar when people search for certain terms. So, here is how to get started at being that go-to source for oral health.

Pick Some Keywords

You need to pick some keywords that you want to focus on. These are the search terms that you are expecting people to punch in Google to find what they are looking for. You might use something like “teeth whitening,” because that is a popular thing that people are getting done to their teeth these days. Or, you can go with something more broad, like “oral health care.” What you need to do is use a tool that will tell you what keywords people are using most.

Now, you don’t want to just get these keywords stuffed in willy nilly. You need to make them sound natural in your posts and web pages. People aren’t going to stick around to read everything you wrote if it doesn’t make sense, and they are definitely not going to find you to be a trustworthy source.

Make Some Friends

The other big step in online marketing is to make friends with other people online. While you don’t want to work closely with your competitors, you also don’t want to make them your enemies. In order to make friends, always give credit where credit is due. If you get some info from a website about veneers and how great they are, credit your source, at least with an in-text link.Put the link in where it won’t confuse people about what they are clicking on.

Also, do some outreach and see if maybe there are some bloggers and other people related to the dental field that want to share your stories with their readers or use your site as a source. These links, because they are authentic, will help you rank higher with Google too.

If you don’t find your posts on the front page of Google right away, don’t get discouraged. It takes a lot of work and dedication to make a name for yourself and it will happen if you just keep telling people how important oral health care is and that they should be brushing their teeth at least twice a day. The more you remind them the more views you’ll get and the higher you will rank over time!
